    • Summary - The Maryland Level 1- Burglar & Limited Fire Alarm Course begins with several general topics including; overview of  the industry, ethics, building construction, safety, law, standards & codes, general electricity & electronics, microprocessors, and tools.  It continues to prepare you for system installations by covering; documentation (blueprints, etc), site survey, where to locate components, how to layout cabling, develop a job plan and organize work flow. Next we move to wire buildings including; securing the area ? drop cloths- safety cones, etc., pulling & securing the wire, roughing in device component locations and labeling wire and cable. Last we cover splicing and termination methods, steps for testing, troubleshooting and debugging, how to train users, as built documentation and maintenance & repair
  • Maryland Level 2 - Unlimited Fire Technician-

    • Summary - The Maryland Level 2 - Fire Installation & Wiring Codes Course focuses on NFPA 72 and covers Fundamentals- Fire Signatures, Effects and Stages, Codes & Standards. AHJ, Fire Alarm Equipment Overview, Initiating Devices, Signal Transmission, Controls, Power, Notification Appliances, Signaling Systems, Annunciators, Ancillary Circuits- Interconnecting Special Systems, Fire Command Centers, False Alarm Reduction, Documentation and Approvals & Acceptance
  • Maryland Level 2 Electronic Course
    • Hours 8
    • Target Audience -
      • Unlimited Fire Alarm Company (All buildings)
      • Alarm Company Manager (Unlimited)
      • Alarm Technician (Unlimited)
    • Summary- The Maryland Level 2 Electronic Course covers parts to a circuit  (power source, conductors & load) types of circuits, measuring electricity (voltage, current, resistance & power), applying ohm's law, conversions, load calculations and voltage drop

    • Summary- Covers the applicable building codes for Maryland including; IBC- International Building Code, IFC- International Fire Code, IMC- International Mechanical code, IRC- International Residential Code and NFPA 101- Life Safety Code..
